Although logically analyzing your business and developing strategies are both extremely important, I’m here to tell you that true business breakthroughs come from taking time to really reflect and ask yourself the right questions.
When I sit down to coach you on your business for the first time, I don’t know your message or your story when we start out… you’re the one who knows!
Transformational or mindset coaching is all about asking you the questions you don’t think to ask yourself.
It’s not just about asking questions… it’s about asking the right questions:
Who do you really want to work with,
how do you feel like you’re meant to serve in the world,
what do you have such a strong opinion about that you could talk about it all day, every day?
For me, when I was developing my own niche and message, I realized what I really wanted to shout from the rooftops: You don’t have to live a conventional life! You can make money and make a difference in other people’s lives, while having the freedom to travel the world.
How did I find that message?
It’s within me.
It’s how I see the world and how I wish more people would see the world.
My own business coach asked me to tell my personal story. It was personal and emotional and completely the opposite of how I like to work… I wanted structure and solutions!
But after telling my story, I realized that the struggling, earlier version of myself is my ideal customer
- people who want to quit their 9 to 5 and travel the world. My niche, my purpose is to help others with the struggle I already overcame.
If you’re going in the life coaching direction, the first thing you should do is to look back on your life:
What did you overcome that you can now help others with?
All of the answers are within you.
Stop looking outside!
As a coach, I like to combine mindset (asking yourself those deep questions, journaling, etc.) and strategy (how to build your business, grow your audience, find new clients, etc.).
I won’t tell you what your niche is, because I don’t know - you know!
I won’t tell you what your message is. What I will do is to help you figure these things out yourself.
Combining mindset work with business strategy - that’s where the magic happens, for me and for my clients.
Starting your business is not about following an ABC cookie cutter system!
Just because it’s worked for other people doesn’t mean it will work for you. Because the answers that are within another person are not the same answers that lie
No matter how uncertain you feel, I know the answers are within you! They’re in everyone.
We just don’t always have access to them.
We’re busy with stress, fear, working in a 9 to 5, worrying about what kind of business to start.
We lose connection to that deep source within us that knows what we’re meant to do.
